The Casino Club Chicago Wedding Receptions

Emily and I have been best friends since kindergarten and I cannot begin to describe how excited we were when Jeff proposed to her. Emily was the first of our childhood group of friends to get engaged and when Jeff proposed here in Chicago, we knew the next year was going to be a blast! Emily and Jeff met at the University of Arizona and moved to LA after college to begin their lives together. As much as we miss having her in Chicago, we had the best time planning her wedding, while she was living in LA. Many may find it hard to plan a wedding out of state, however, it really makes the decision making process easier. With Emily's knowledge of the industry and her best friend as her planner, we were able to efficiently assemble an all star wedding team.

The Casino Club Chicago Wedding Decorations

Emily owns her own Stationary and Design studio in LA (Paper Plane Paperie) and has an impeccable sense of style. We planned an intimate ceremony at the Assumption Church and the reception was held at the exclusive Casino Club. Founded in 1914, this Art Deco building tucked behind the Hancock Center is located in the heart of the Magnificent Mile. The club has its original slate black walls and the rooms are filled with vintage furniture and art with modern green, gold and silver accents. We used the Casino Club as our base to build off of the classic and elegant style of this prestigious Chicago venue.

The dress! Just take a look at the photos below and you will know why I will never forget the moment she stepped into that Oscar De La Renta wedding gown. The built in corset, natural waist and flowing silk organza ruffles truly captured Emily's style and grace. She was exquisite.

The Casino Club Chicago Wedding

The rehearsal dinner was held at the Chicago Racquet Club. Hello Darling designed the floral and décor for both receptions. Emily's love for moss balls made for quite a laugh during the planning, but the greenery and lush floral were perfect for this setting. It's not an 'Emily' party without Sweet Mandy B's cupcakes and Home Run Pizza for late night…the guests loved it all! Artisan Events captured every magical moment of Emily and Jeff's beautiful October wedding weekend. Enjoy!
